DAY 1: POMPEII - MOUNT VESUVIUS - SORRENTO
Our Discovery Amalfi Coast Tour begins with a full-day journey with a morning drive to the world-renowned archaeological site of Pompeii. We meet our local expert guide for a guided tour of this well-preserved Roman town destroyed by nearby Mount Vesuvius.
After the 2-hour guided tour, you will have an additional hour to further explore the site on your own and then we enjoy an included lunch at a local pizzeria.
In the afternoon we have a scenic drive to reach the National Park of Vesuvius. From the entrance we have a 20-minute walk up to the cone and viewpoint. From here we have incredible views of the ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii, the entire city of Naples and its Gulf, Sorrento, and the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.
Accompanied with a local guide, you will learn the history and facts of Mount Vesuvius followed by some free time to take photos. We return to the parking spot and drive to our accommodation in Sorrento, where we will spend 3 nights.

DAY 3: CAPRI ISLAND
Set sail to the captivating isle of Capri, the isle of sirens according to Greek mythology. Here the Roman Emperor Tiberius lived in the Villa Jovis for the last ten years of his life, using the famed Blue Grotto as his private swimming pool. In the mid-19th century the island became a magnet for artists, intellectuals, and writers, drawn by the inspirational scenery, gentle climate and dreamy, liberal lifestyle. Nowadays, Capri is a sun-soaked playground for the rich and famous with moguls and politicians in between. Many keep their own private palaces or sail in on their yachts.
In one hour we will reach Capri Island and once we disembark, we will visit the amazing Blue Grotto (according to the weather).
Once you go back to the harbour, we will ascend to Capri town by funicular for a guided walking tour. Explore the narrow alleys of Capri and visit the beautiful Augustus Garden, where you have breathtaking views of Capri and the Faraglioni rocks. On the way, learn about the history of the production of the famous Carthusia Perfumes made in Capri and smell the different essences.
Lunch time in a local restaurant.
From the Piazzetta, we board a local bus and reach the highest point of the island, Monte Solaro, to visit the gorgeous Villa San Michele, built on the ruins of Tiberius’ villa by the Swedish doctor Axel Munthe; take in panoramic views of Capri and its marina, the Sorrentine and Amalfi Coast Peninsulas, and Mount Vesuvius.
Return to the Piazzetta for free time to shop or enjoy an aperitif at a cafe, before going back down to the harbour to board the ferry back to Sorrento.
Group dinner for the last night of the tour.
