Today we will visit one of the most incredible places in Italy and Europe: the volcano Vesuvius. It is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, due to its explosive nature and the amount of people who live around it.
In 79 AD destroyed and buried the cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum and surrounding areas, modifying the morphology of the landscape.
Through a panoramic route we will reach the Vesuvius National Park.
From the entrance we have a 20 minute walk to the cone and viewpoint. From here we have an incredible view of the excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii, of the entire city of Naples and its Gulf, of Sorrento and the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.
Accompanied by a local guide, you will learn the history and facts of Vesuvius, followed by some free time for taking photos.

The Hike
The visit to the cone will last approximately 2 and a half hours, then we will head to a vineyard on the slopes of Vesuvius, for a short tour, followed by lunch, paired with 6 Lacryma Christi (Tears of Jesus) wines.
